Freeze Dried Fruit Melts
If you have a freeze dryer, these melts are easy to make, for a nutritious on-the-go snack.
Equipment
- Freeze Dryer
- Food Processor
Ingredients
Strawberry Smoothie
- 350 grams strawberries, fresh or frozen
- 350 grams bananas
- 400 ml can of coconut milk (organic if you can get it)
Grape Smoothie
- 233 grams mango, fresh or frozen
- 233 grams grapes
- 233 grams bananas
- 400 ml can of coconut milk (organic if you can get it)
Blue Raspberry Smoothie
- 233 grams raspberries, fresh or frozen
- 233 grams blueberries, fresh or frozen
- 233 grams bananas
- 400 ml can of coconut milk (organic if you can get it)
Instructions
- Blend all the fruit and coconut milk in your food processor until it is smooth and even.
- Once you have achieved the desired consistency, pour the mixture into your favourite mold for freezing. An ice cube tray works well, in a pinch.
- Store the mold in the freezer until they are completely frozen. Once the fruit melts are completely frozen, transfer them to your freeze drier.
Notes
Alternative milk products will not work with this recipe.
